【This is Your Time】-纪念Cassie Burnall的歌

  

Michael W. Smith得到2000年 Dove Awards的年度最佳歌曲“This Is Your Time”，我们在音乐录像带的片头看到一位女生的谈话画面：「我想神国必须竭力进入…在非信徒与基督徒面前作好榜样…为基督而活」；然后我们好似看到这位高中女生的背影…奔跑、跳舞…伴着Michael缓缓唱出：「这考验我们都想熬过，却都不愿面对；离弃神，就保住了命，但她的抉择只有一种；这是她的时刻，这是她的舞蹈，活出每一刻，不留下偶然；她畅游潜入蔚蓝深海，以生命拥抱那未知奥秘…要是问你，又怎么说；这是你的时刻，这是你的舞蹈…」片尾：「悼念凯茜柏纳」，这是一首纪念Cassie Burnall的歌。

1999年，美国发生一起「可伦班恩高中悲剧事件」(Columbine High School shooting tragedy)。有两名据称是「撒旦教信徒」的高中生持枪闯进校园，见人就问「你相信神吗？」，回答「是」，就遭杀害。女学生Cassie Burnall便是如此，牺牲了性命。

为Cassie Burnall(November 6, 1981 – April 20, 1999) 的遇害，Cassie的父母成立了「Cassie Burnall基金会」，出版了Whatever It Takes纪念专辑，许多当红基督徒歌手都一起参与；专辑概念来自Cassie Burnall的一段话：「…so，Whatever It Takes，I will be one who…」；专辑的同名主题歌Whatever It Takes也改编自Cassie的这段信心的宣告；专辑的副标-The “She Said Yes” Music Project就是在感念Cassie说「是」的信仰勇气。Cassie的妈妈Misty Bernall也出版了一本书“She Said Yes”，Michael W. Smith写了后记…受害者家属相互安慰、彼此激励…也带给事件远处的我们希望与信心…

知名基督教作家杨腓力(Philip Yang)在「寻神启事」一书中也提到了这段事件，他说：『从邪恶中，即便是像可伦班恩屠杀事件这种骇人的邪恶中，依然能产生好处。』该城的青少团契人数爆增、有受害者的父亲作了布道家、有一位则投入枪械管制的运动……

专辑内页的最后：「…Let light shine out of darkness…」(那吩咐光从黑暗里照出来的　神，已经照在我们心里…哥林多后书4章6节)

Whatever It Takes！(无论如何！) 让我们想到先知但以理的三个朋友：…即便如此，我们所事奉的　神能将我们从烈火的窑中救出来。王啊，祂也必救我们脱离你的手；即或不然，王啊，你当知道我们决不事奉你的神，也不敬拜你所立的金像。」(但以理书3章17-18节)。亲爱的弟兄姊妹，难事若临到我们，我们有没有这种即便如此、即或不然的信心呢？
